Since 2015, the game has won many awards. And there’s really not in vain. The most important factor creating intrigue in the game is its unpredictability and hidden secrets. Buying an ordinary game, you immediately have access learning all the rules, you get transparent gameplay and all parts of this process. But this is not about «Pandemic Legacy: Season 1».
You start the game only with the basic “foundation” which describes the basic gameplay. The main secret and intrigue are hidden in sealed envelopes, boxes and maps, which will be gradually available at certain points of the game. As the game progresses the rules literally change — new paragraphs are added. New elements are added to the panel (stickers are pasted), previously hidden dossiers become available, secret boxes are opened. Characters get new skills.
All these elements can significantly affect game key actions and even change the victory conditions.
